About the instructors
Stephan Kadauke, MD, PhD (he/him) is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, the Associate Director of the Cell and Gene Therapy Lab, and the Medical Director of Cell and Gene Therapy Informatics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Stephan’s Informatics group builds and deploys predictive models and other data products for the care of children who receive bone marrow transplants and other cell therapies. Stephan’s group also created the REDCapTidieR package which aims to make the lives of analysts who use REDCap with R easier. Stephan also developed a curriculum in Reproducible Clinical Data Analysis tailored for physicians and other healthcare professionals. He is passionate about ways to use data to improve the care of children.
Will Beasley, PhD (he/him) is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Oklahoma University Health and Sciences Center (OUHSC), where he leads the Clinical Research Data Warehouse. He received his PhD in quantitative psychology from University of Oklahoma. He provides statistical analysis and software development to research studies at OUHSC. He is the creator and primary maintainer of the REDCapR package.
Will’s areas of expertise and interest include Bayesian and Frequentist statistics, bioinformatics, simulation methods, and exploratory and graphical analysis, and reproducible research. He also has a wealth of software programming experience including SQL Server, C#, and R.
